Centre Based Apulia cycle route
We were not happy that this tour is advertised as a level 2. This tour is challenging on some of the days. Every route was longer than advertised e.g. the first day it was 10k longer. The last day is over 70k. With the result we never got time to look properly around the towns as we were always under pressure with the length of the cycle. Some of the climbs are huge and some of the descents are very steep. The cycle paths are in very bad condition in some places, e.g the Martina Franca route, there were huge potholes and stones. Unfortunately it had rained a lot and the potholes were impossible to see, in fact it was dangerous.
While we enjoyed our holiday, we feel this cycle should be advertised as a level 3 at least.
The hotel was fantastic, as was the food and the staff.
