Route

Tour profile: level 1-2

Easy to medium cycling tours through hilly terrain for island hoppers with a good basic fitness (20 - 70 km and 200 - 1000 Hm per day). Many of the paths used are asphalted. However, 30% of the routes are forest and gravel roads, which can also be used for pushing. Instead of a bike tour, a half or full day can also be spent on the ship.

Day 1: Omisalj (Embarkation) – Rabac

Individual arrival to Omišalj, a charming pirate’s nest on the island of Krk. If you arrive by car, we will organize a safe parking place for you. Around 2 pm until 2:30 pm you will move into the cabins on your motor sailer. Afterwards you will enjoy your first crossing to Rabac. If the weather is good, you will stop for a swim in a beautiful bay on the way and can take your first refreshing dip in the Adriatic Sea. After arriving in the idyllic port of Rabac on the east coast of Istria, you will adjust your bikes with the help of your guides and take a first small test lap.

Day 2: Rabac – Pula, approx. 37 km

After breakfast on board, you will first have to master a long climb. This will take you to the medieval town of Labin, where you can enjoy a coffee break and a beautiful view of the bay of Rabac. Afterwards you will continue your tour through traditional Istrian villages and finally return to Rabac. Here the ship awaits you for lunch and a longer crossing to the historic port of Pula. Take time for an extensive stroll and explore impressive ancient monuments, such as the famous amphitheater reminiscent of the Colosseum in Rome, the Temple of Augustus and the Golden Gate.

Day 3: Pula – Vrsar – Porec, approx.39 km

Already before breakfast your ship departs and takes you to Vrsar. From Vrsar you will cycle along the Limski Canal to Kloštar in the rural hinterland. During a longer break you can fortify yourself with a local meal before the tour takes you to today’s stage destination Poreč. In the afternoon, you will encounter the eventful history of Poreč at every turn as you stroll with your city guide through the charming old town with its beautiful buildings dating from different eras. Life pulsates in the shopping alleys. A visit to the famous Euphrasius Basilica with its magnificent early Christian mosaics is also worthwhile.

Day 4: Porec – Novigrad – Vrsar, approx. 68 km

During breakfast, the ship will take you to Novigrad, where today’s stage begins. First you cycle through extensive vineyards and olive groves to the picturesque village of Buje, which lies on a hill overlooking a fertile plain. From there you follow the "Parenzana", a disused railroad line, which leads you to the famous artists’ village of Groznjan. Here you can admire the many galleries that have found their home in old stone houses. In the afternoon you will drive through rural Istria via many smaller villages to Poreč, where you will board again and after a bathing break continue to Vrsar for overnight stay.

Day 5: Vrsar – Rovinj, approx. 17 km

After a short crossing to Rovinj, in the morning you will take a bike tour along the coastal promenade and in the immediate vicinity of this exceptionally beautiful town. Take advantage of the time for an extensive swim in the Adriatic Sea before returning to Rovinj around noon. In the afternoon, take a guided tour of the old town, which is situated on a peninsula and is one of the most picturesque on the entire Adriatic. Rovinj is a popular meeting place for artists from all over the world, whose works you can admire in numerous galleries.

Day 6: Rovinj – Fazana – Cres, approx. 30 km

Your morning bike ride will take you near the coast and mostly on nature and forest paths to Fažana with its pretty little harbor and promenade lined with colorful houses. Here the boat awaits you for the crossing to the island of Cres. Your destination is the island capital of the same name, where you will spend tonight. If you like, you can end an eventful day in one of the inviting bars with sea view.

Day 7: Cres – Krk – Malinska – Omisalj, approx. 44 km

Early morning crossing to the island of Krk, where a final cycling stage awaits you, leading from Nijvice via Malinska to Omišalj. The largest island in Croatia and home of the delicious Zlahtina white wine impresses with its diverse landscapes. Also, don’t miss the opportunity to take a soothing mud bath in Soline Bay, which promises original vacation photos in addition to relaxation and lots of fun. In the port of Omišalj your ship awaits you for a delicious dinner on board, where you can look back on an eventful week in cheerful company and say goodbye to the crew and your tour guides.

Day 8: Omisalj (Disembarkation)

After breakfast disembarkation until 9 am. and individual trip home or extended stay in Croatia.

    Ship

    Welcome on board!

For this journey your accomodation will be either the premium ship LINDA or the deluxe ship ANDELA LORA.

    LINDA (Comfort)

Captain Damir’s Linda is a spacious wooden motor yacht. She was built in 1955 and renovated in 2004/2005. The spacious saloon can accommodate 32 guests, and the middle sundeck is constructed in a way that meals can also be served outside. The upper deck is big enough for sunbathing. >>more

    ANDELA LORA (Deluxe)

Completed in 2012, the motor yacht is a distinctly elegant steel ship of the deluxe category. With a stately length of 40 m and a width of 8.50 m, she is one of the largest ships in our Croatian fleet. >>more

    Bicycle

Guided group pace: For the DELUXE variant (ship ANDELA LORA) the group pace is adapted to the e-bike riders. In principle, it is possible to rent a gravel or road bike, but those who ride a gravel bike on an e-bike trip should have the necessary condition to ride at the expected pace. We thank you for your understanding.

The guided group pace of the regular tour (ship LINDA) will be adapted to the trekking bikers.

    Rental bikes incl. Panniers

We provide the following bikes on board:

    • Linda: 21 speed trekking bikes in differnet frame sizes (men and woman frames)
    • Andela Lora: Gravelbikes and E-bikes

Please note that we can only provide rental bikes for people over 1.50 m tall. If you do not want to do without your own saddle or clipless pedals, you are welcome to bring them with you and have them mounted on your rental bike by your tour guide on site.

    E-bikes | Electric bikes | Pedelecs

Our e-bikes are high-quality pedelecs, which are characterized by a relatively low weight and good equipment. With an e-bike, even steep inclines can be climbed almost effortlessly. So now cyclists with different fitness levels can go on tours together!

    Additional insurance (bookable/payable on site)

Insurance against theft and damage of the rental bike (not covered: intentional damage):

Electric bike / Gravelbike: € 20,- per week
