Between whitewashed villages, sherry towns, and Atlantic beaches

Itinerary

Route

Longer distances and hilly terrain, with up to four climbs per day. 72.4% asphalt – 9.8% bike path – 17.8% unpaved road

Individual arrival to Sevilla

You start your journey on well-developed cycle paths along the Guadaira River. Soon you will leave the lively atmosphere of Seville behind and immerse yourself in the gentle Andalusian landscape of vast cornfields and endless sunflower plantations. The golden yellow colors accompany you to Carmona – a historic town proudly perched on a hill, impressing visitors with its mighty gates and picturesque alleys.

Today, a long but pleasant stage through the open plains of Andalusia awaits you. The route takes you past cornfields, sunflower fields, and olive groves, which are typical of the region. At the end of the day, you will be welcomed in tranquil Montellano, where you will spend the night in a small, family-run hotel - perfect for a relaxing evening in an authentic atmosphere.

You cycle through a varied landscape of Mediterranean forests and rolling hills at the foot of the impressive Grazalema Mountains. The view of nature accompanies you all the way to Arcos de la Frontera, one of the famous “white villages.” The historic town is spectacularly situated on a steep rock and rewards you with narrow streets, magnificent views, and pure Andalusian flair.

Today’s stage takes you through gently rolling countryside characterized by vineyards and traditional agriculture. Soon you will reach Jerez - a city full of life and tradition. This is the heartland of sherry wines, and also the birthplace of the world-famous Andalusian riding school. Jerez combines culture, enjoyment, and passion like hardly any other place in Andalusia.

The final stage of your journey takes you first to the charming fishing village of El Puerto de Santa María, known for its maritime atmosphere and fresh seafood cuisine. From here, you will continue cycling to the wide sandy beaches of Cádiz. The oldest city in Western Europe welcomes you with Atlantic air, golden beaches, and elegant accommodation in the modern Parador – a perfect place to end your Andalusian cycling tour in style.
